Are Essential Oils Pure ?

Benefits of pure essential oils not same as any other essential oils.

Aroma therapy is based on treatment of oils. These oils are made from various plants and are absolutely pure. Essential oils are made from extracts of different parts of plants including seeds, flowers, leaves, stems, barks, roots, fruits or fruit rinds. These parts of plants contain oil in very small portions hence it takes a great number of plants to obtain a few pounds of oil.

Pure essential oils are made of compounds which are beneficial to the human body. If you use some cheap imitation you are sure not to reach even a mile with that. Pure and unadulterated essential oil is said to benefit the human body and it provides protection against viruses, bacteria and parasites. These oils also possess the property of boosting our immune system.

The process of obtaining pure essential oil is very difficult because it requires oil extracted of highest quality without any impurity to be potent. In order to achieve this pure essential oil it becomes necessary to get the right plants and to get the right plants you need to harvest the plants at the right time and be equally careful about selecting the right parts of the plants for extraction. They are of a great help to the human body. Not only they  provide our body with protection but also homes from parasites, bacteria and virus. Also help alot in the working of the body’s immune system.

 After the right harvest is selected it becomes equally necessary to see that the distillation process is also pure. Care should be taken to see that there is no contamination in the extraction for which you need to adhere to quality control standards. The oil will contain maximum potency only if it is in the purest form. Pure essential oil is obtained by using steam distillation at low temperature and pressure so as to preserve its properties perfectly.

Once the oil is extracted, the next step is to test the end product to see if the active properties are present in the correct proportion. Though you can use chemicals in the process of extraction for getting fast results, better quantity and low cost but it is recommended not to use chemicals as they can be toxic to humans and above all, it will destroy the life giving property of the essential oils.

It is suggested that you opt for pure essential oils because pure essential oils will not result in carrier oils becoming rancid. Usually synthetic oils are often used as deodorizers in candles which generally have no therapeutic value.
