In ancient Europe when essential oils were made people would put to use even the impure and diluted waste and extracts for making creams, oils etc. but this art had come to an end there over a certain period of time. Then again in the 12th century this art came back to life when some craftsmen specialized on this field. This was when French court and English guild of Pepperers perfumers started specializing on these essential oils.
As time went on, in the 13th century countries like Spain and France started working on essential oils by distilling them to achieve more concentrated essence. In this way as time went by people worked and specialized more and more on essential oils and then finally in 1430 there came the first edition on essential oils in the market.
This first edition was entitled as” The Book Of Nurture”.
In the year 1550 France came up with production of spiked lavender oil which came to use as a trading commodity. On the other hand some new flavors and aromas were being discovered from other new sources. People from other fields like chemist, physicians, pharmacists started studying various chemical, physical, medical properties of these essential oils.
Thanks to the 20th century, today we have a choice of a large number of essential oils and products in the market. In fact, these products have both national and international markets. The main advantage is that this technology allows chemicals to separate which are used as building blocks to introduce flavors and aroma.
